But on the other hand rapid economic growth and population expansion are putting high demand for energy, water and food. Energy plays a central part in Ethiopia's effort to the reduction of poverty and to achieving sustainable development, since it touches all features of development, economic, social, and environment, including household welfare, health, population levels, and education and gender issues. In addition none of the SDGs can be met without access to clean and efficient energy services. This paper identified the Impact of Small Scale Biogas Technology on Household Income and Health in Ada'a local administration, Oromia Region, Ethiopia. 9 kebeles (smallest local administration) were purposively selected where there are high number of biogas users.

The necessity to reduce green house gas emission and growing difficulties in fossil fuel recovery raise great challenges for the scientific community to develop efficient, low cost alternative energy sources. Hydrogen is sought by many as a way to store and transport energy produced from renewable sources. As a fuel hydrogen produces only water on burning and is not toxic in any way. Photolytic processes are very attractive for hydrogen production due to the zero greenhouse gas emissions, however, they can be commercially used only if limitations related to low efficiency and poor stability can be resolved. In this work we describe a novel cell structure for stable photo electrochemical water splitting that can be prepared by electrodeposition from ionic liquids at high temperature. The deposition methods developed here provide low cost and efficient way to synthesise high quality semiconductors and their alloys. The concept presented in this work can potentially be applied to a variety of efficient, yet unstable systems to achieve efficient and long lasting water splitting.

Today, the concept of net zero- energy buildings has become a major concern regarding fossil fuels combustion side effects, such as air pollution or global warming. NG (Natural Gas) is a kind of fossil fuels which is widely combusted in Iran to meet various buildings heating demand. However, this research is proposed mitigating NG flaring by substituting solar energy as an auxiliary energy source in dwelling buildings and estimating accurate values of SGI (Solar Global Irradiance) on tilted planes via Artificial Neural Network (ANN) respectively. To fulfill this objective a solar thermal collector is designed which is either responsible to preheat water circulates in radiators loop, to provide space heating, or domestic hot water to supply washing demand in flats. Indeed, in case of utilizing this application fewer NG will be combusted for rising input water temperature to required value and fewer CO2 emission eventually. Also a dwelling complex including 136 apartments is considered perform this research. This complex is situated in Mashhad, the second megacity in Iran. Besides, to evaluate this potential four steps have been taking into account.

In thermodynamics, the exergy of a system is the maximum work possible during a process that brings the system into equilibrium with a heat reservoir. When the surroundings are the reservoir, exergy is the potential of a system to cause a change as it achieves equilibrium with its environment. After the system and surroundings reach equilibrium, the exergy is zero. In contrast, the hydrogen economy is a proposal for the distribution of energy by using hydrogen. Hydrogen gives off energy when it is combined with oxygen, but the hydrogen itself has to first be produced, which requires more energy than is released when it is used as a fuel. Therefore to use hydrogen as a fuel, it first has to be generated by electrolysis of water or another method. A reduction in carbon dioxide emission would only be achieved if the energy used to split the water is obtained from non carbon-based sources.
